Quiltmaker Blog Tour

Mom and I drove into Salt Lake City yesterday and are preparing to leave here in a few minutes to go set up for HMQS (Home Machine Quilters Show). The show runs May 5-7 at the South Towne Expo Center. If you've not been here, it's a BEAUTIFUL city that is a must to visit. More on that later in the week.

Are you doing the Quiltmaker Blog Tour?? You will have a chance to win a copy of Quiltmaker's 100 blocks ver 3. How you ask?? Leave a comment here on my blog to be entered. You will find one of my blocks in the magazine. =) Find out about the blog tour at http://www.quiltmaker.com/100blocks.html.

Here is a different color variation my block:

Look at it all put together into a quilt:

What a beautiful block. Looks like stained glass. Is it machine appliqued?

Reminds me of cut-work and stained glass and with a richly embroidered applique motif that creates unique frame-like design. I dont think I've ever seen another block with this combination of effects. Congratulations! It should be loads of fun to work with.
